Back on board of the El Pollo Diablo. Amber was still shocked about Katarn who destroyed her plan of keeping the secret that Rookie and Piett were there. The Viking still sat in his chair, the arm over his eyes. The pain was visible in his face only O‘Drick seemed to be calm.

He said: " Well as you can assume I knew about it. Rookie and Piett try to end this war before it really starts. I don’t speak from those small battles we have already. I speak from the battles when the task forces meet each other. "

Jodokast looked over to OD: " How they want to end it? "

OD: " I have no idea, I only know when there is a way Rookie will find it. I have fully trust in his abilities as leader. That’s why I keep his presence here secret. "

Battledog’s comment was: " Hmmm, well... maybe you are right. Rookie is an excellent leader, but the story with the door kinda confused me. I mean which normal human marries a Tie Interceptor with a ship door? "

Amber jumped into the talk: " Easy to explain Sir. The door rescued Rookie and Desmo and so Rookie decided to fulfil the wish of that door, even when it’s not logical. "

Now Battledog was fully confused: " A door rescued the Commodore? How? "

OD continued: " Well as Steeler took over control about our ship, we had to create a virus. "

" Yes, we know. " interrupted Thork il Nar.

OD: " Could I please continue? Thank you. Anyway we had to create a virus. That virus caused our technical equipment to make some decisions by it’s own, lower security level. Well Savage got his hands on the Concussion Riffle of Rookie in this fight. He aimed at Rookie and Desmo and the door must have noticed that via a sensor. Fact is the door closed and locked so that Rookie and Desmo were save. "

The Viking rubbed his hairy chin: " Ah, I see. Well it’s still strange but ok I will believe you. But we have to deal with the Rookie and Piett thingy right now. Both are labelled as extremely dangerous because of their knowledge of the imperial forces. "

OD jumped at his feet and shouted: " We are speaking of two of our best officers. They will not betray us, believe me! I put my hand into the fire for them! "

It was Battledog again who answered: " Well, we will give them 3 days to sort out the war problem I would suggest. If we don’t see a result till now we will continue hunting them, if we see a result we will overlook their actions. What do you think Vik? "

The leader of the RGs looked up in Battledog’s eyes then over to OD and the rest of the RGs, then he said: " Agreed 3 more days for them. But it’s a high risk we are going here. They could arrive by the rebels then. "

At the same time at Abalone, Raider was on the search for the special disk changing Flamey into Bob again. Until now he hadn’t any success. Raider took over the nightshift again to work at some papers and reports for Savage. He looked through the notices to write as he noticed he hasn’t any sheet of paper anymore. Raider sighed and stood up to walk over in Savage’s office. As he opened one of the shelves of the desk he faced a letter written by Savage. Again the Ensign was curious and started reading. He realised that he has the report for the Dark Brotherhood in his hands. Savage told them that the work on the gate should be finished in time also he explained that he will involve the TFA into that unarmed zone war as requested. And the last and most scary note Savage developed a plan to attack the main world of the Empire, Coruscant. Savage was without any question a strategical genius who should be feared by the Empire. Raider had the strange feeling of fear and admiration right now. Anyway the Ensign was clever enough to copy this letter too, maybe it would help to solve the puzzle.

In the meantime Rookie flown that Shuttle in the direction of F’tral. Until now he got no idea what to tell Mon Mothma. He guessed that it would be difficult enough to face her and get the possibility to speak with her. Rookie felt fear too, he got this feeling often in the last times. In this moment P returned in the cockpit with a cup of coffee.

Rookie said: " Good morning P. Got a good sleep? "

P nodded trying to find a more comfortable position in the co pilot seat: " Well at least that’s not the Skalve of the Dr. All looks fine. "

Rookie smiled as answer: " Can it be that you are uncomfortable in the freighter class ships? "

P smiled back: " You notice really everything. It has to do with my past. "

Rookie grinned: " A Jedi with some problems and a pilot with concern to go into a freighter class ship. "

The Commodore looked with a wishful view at the cup of coffee, P noticed it: " That’s my coffee, you have your special tea. "

Rookie shuddered: " Not again, please not again with narcotics. "

Now it was P’s turn to grin: " Our Amber makes this tea always perfectly, but this time I’m sure it’s without narcotic. Would be bad when you fall asleep when you want to speak with Mon Mothma. "

Rookie decided it would be better to move the theme away from the special tea: " Mentioned this name, how we want to get into the headquarter of the Alliance? I mean it will not be easy to speak with the best guarded Alliance member. "

P nodded: " This time we go straight into it. When she’s really the person she seemed to be then she will listen to us if not well then I will work on a plan B. "

The Commodore asked: " And plan B is? "

The Jedi shrugged his shoulders: " I have no idea about plan B right now. Well you must be thirsty as hell, ok here is the deal. When you drink the special tea I tell you the story over my past, if not then I will keep silence until we arrive at F’tral. It’s up to you Junior... "

" Don’t call me this way! " P’s answer was a fat grin.

Back on board of the El Pollo Diablo, CMa Denny tried to get in contact with the Phoenixians.

Amber had the bridge again: " Hi Denny. What can I do for you? "

Denny looked around if somebody could hear him then he said: " Well could you say Jodo that he should return to the Titan please? "

Amber asked surprised: " Why? What’s going on? "

Denny answered with a very quiet voice now: " Flamey acts strange right now. "

Amber had trouble to understand the Commander: " Please repeat Denny... I can’t hear you. "

In this moment Denny got pushed out of the screen and Flamey showed himself: " Well Amber where is my mustard? "

Amber was confused: " Your mustard Sir? "

The wing commander shouted: " Yes my mustard! And where are my ratios of your special tea, we had the deal at least ten litres a day! "

" Ten litres!? "

Flamey or Bob wasn’t done: " Yes, ten litres. And where is my Fluffy? "

" Your Fluffy? It’s Rookies cat! "

Flamey shook his head: " I’m the Boss here and so Fluffy is mine, hee hee. Send her over with the ten litres of tea. Besides this I want that the whole El Pollo Diablo is painted pink when I see the frigate the next time! "

" Pink Sir? " Amber didn’t know what she should think about FS strange behaviour.

" Yes pink, it’s Katarn’s favourite colour and also Desmo’s. I want to see a pink frigate! "

Amber could only ask: " Kat’s favourite colour? "

" Say Amber are you a parrot now? If yes don’t come to close to Fluffy or there would stay nothing besides a few feathers. " With an evil smile Flamestrike grabbed Denny: " And you bring me my sandwich now. " Then the connection was interrupted.

At the same time Ginyard was still on the way to Bogoslov. He waited for another signal of Tobi who still needed to give him the position of himself. Ginyard hoped that the rebels didn’t capture the MCP again.

As Gin wanted to break the silence he heard Tobi again: " It’s Tobi. I’m in trouble. I think they found me, I must run. "

Gin shouted back: " Wait I need your location to land and help you. " But there was only static. Ginyard cursed about the rebels, all must be difficult. Ginyard decided to try his luck with a direct flight over the surface of the planet in the near of the prison. Maybe some of his sensors could find the transmitter signature of Tobi, then Ginyard would be able to grab him and return to the Diablo. As he flown directly over the prison Ginyard decided it’s time to free some prisoners. He shot down the generator and then the secure barriers were out of work too. Now the remaining rebel soldiers had a major problem with the prisoners who run over them to get the weapons. An evil smiled showed at Ginyard’s face. Now the rest of the rebel soldiers would have to return to their base and he could grab Tobi.

Fjap was on his way home, leaving the freighter wasn’t a problem, now he only had to find the Diablo.

He activated the special Phoenix frequency: " This is Chief Pilot Fjap calling the El Pollo Diablo. Anybody at home? "

OD answered: " This is little OD and I’m alone at home.... Well not really. "

Fjap had to laugh: " OD you crazy guy, where the Diablo is located? I want to return home and free you from your pain being alone there. "

OD told the Chief Pilot the location: " Nice that you are back again. Anything new? "

Fjap: " Let me return first then we can talk. "

" Ok, but that’s an promise then Fjapy. "

10 minutes later Fjap returned at the frigate.

OD already waited in the hangar for him: " And?: he asked curiously.

Fjap grinned: " Well you RGs are really curious. Is there something you didn’t stick your nose in? "

OD smiled: " Nope, of course not. We have to know all, we are the RG. "

Fjap sighed: " No good news, first we found out that Bob is partially back. "

OD looked confused: " Bob? Isn’t that the name of our spy? "

Now it was Fjap who was confuse: " Spy? Why spy? Which spy? "

OD answered: " Bob our spy informed us where we can find Rookie and Meister P. Until now his information was always true. What is about your Bob? "

Fjap sighed: " Before you joined the Phoenix squad we had some major problems with Flamestrike. He got captured by a pirate group who also did experiments with him. Result was an evil twin called Bob who made a lot of jokes and fooled around everybody. I was his special target, I don’t know why. It was because the force never worked on me or with me. We were able to heal him partially but not fully as I can see now. "

" The force doesn’t work at you? Not even when Steeler tries it? " Asked OD.

Fjap sighed as answer: " This is something I don’t understand. Then the force worked at me, I had those visions and the force leaded me to DuKaal. I really don’t understand the difference. I thought force would be force. "

OD smiled: " Seems that’s a wrong idea about the force. "

" Agreed, now tell me why I should return? " asked Fjap.

" I have no idea, I don’t think it was an order by a Phoenixian... "

Fjap’s reply was short: " Again Bob.... I’m sure of it. What he plans now? He’s really evil. "

OD sighed: " Do you think it’s the same Bob as our spy? "

Fjap shook his head: " Nope, the evil Flamey plays jokes with the crew even when there are bad. I don’t think he would help a squad, he’s way too busy with his next joke. Anyway let’s go into the cantina and empty some Duvels. "

Back on board of the Diablo, Amber wanted to watch her dog. She was on the way to Jerry as Jodokast came to her Jerry on his arm: " What’s this Lieutenant? "

Amber gulped: " I can explain this... "

Jodo nodded but he looked seriously: " I hope it for you because this dog destroyed my RG robe and my parade uniform! "

Amber gulped again and thought: " Oh Jerry, what you have done. "

But then she got an idea: " Jodo, there is something I have to speak about with you. I’m concerned about Flamey’s behaviour. "

" Don’t try to distract me, I’m not in the mood for it. "

Amber continued: " He acts strange, lemme tell you what happened... "

Jodokast, with the little hairy dog still under his arm, marched at speed towards the bridge.

"Sir, listen!" Amber pleaded. "Please! I can explain, really! Honestly this time too, no more lies."

Jodokast stopped in his tracks so quickly that Amber ran into his back. Looking disdainfully at the dog he said, "You really thought I would believe that this... this... *thing* is a Force dog who can control things?"

"Well, it was worth a try. Look, the honest story now, just don't take him away!"

Sighing, Jodo agreed. "You've got 60 seconds. Explain."

"Well on the last mission... to, er, some place, I was in danger from some people, bad people, looters I think... He saved me.."

"The dog saved you now? I thought this was the truth?!"

"It is!! It is! Honestly, he got help when I needed it!"

"You should know by now, not to lie to the RG. You are in enough trouble now. You hide an escaped criminal and his accomplices, you lie to us about that. Then you lie to us through that stupid plan to distract us... we could blame those deaths on you now! Now you lie to me twice about the stupid dog? This is unacceptable. The dog is going with me. And you know what we will do with him? We'll send him to the Imperial Research Laboratory so they can experiment on him. We've tried long enough to get the animals off this frigate, now there is just one left. Fluffy is next, and if you even think about hiding him..."

"I can't hide Fluffy, FS has sent for him, I can't argue with FS!"

"You can't argue with me either. Get that cat and bring it to the hangar. I'll be taking these animals with us when we go."

"Go? Go where Jodo?" Amber asked, a confused look on her face.

"You think we can trust you to control this frigate now? No way. You only show us that we can't trust you. You will come with me to the Titan, we can deal with you there!" Jodokast was getting really mad by this time. It seemed like he really was fed up of the trouble Phoenix always seemed to be in.

Meanwhile OD had introduced Fjap to the whole situation on board the frigate.

"Damn!" Fjap exclaimed, "you've been having lots of... er... should I say fun?"

OD laughed. "Fun in ways Fjap, but also there are some very bad things on this frigate now too. The frigate will be controlled by Flamey from now on, he can control our systems from the Titan. With the strange things Flamey has been doing I don't think that will be good!" Fjap could only agree. OD continued: "So what we need to do is find a way to keep the operations running without Flamey noticing. Any ideas?"

"Erm, well, no. I doubt I can help you. If Flamey has changed personality, then soon I will be the target of his jokes. I'm not getting involved!" Fjap was right. At that very same time, Flamey had sent an order to the Diablo for CP Fjap to report to the bridge and collect some orders from an RG. These orders were not ordinary orders, oh no, they were orders with a strange twist from Flamey. When Fjap saw these orders, his face went totally pale as he sank into one of the chairs... "Oh no!" He said, in complete shock at the orders. His squadron mates would never let him live this down.

On board the shuttle heading towards F'tral, P was fiddling with the translator module Binky had given him. "How do you think it works?" He asked Rookie, with a puzzled look on his face.

Rookie raised an eyebrow. "And you think I can answer?!" He laughed. "P, you know I have no idea about things like that. The most I can manage is basic star fighter repairs and the frigate's computer system."

P replied: "But Rookie, you've had engineering experience!"

"Not *that* kind of engineering P!" Rookie replied. There were a few moments of silence while P played with the module. He hit a button and the thing came to life, with lights on and it made a whirring sound.

"Arrgh! It works!" P exclaimed. The module responded to this, and brought up a list of old languages on its small screen. Surprised, P touched the screen above one language he had never heard of. The module showed the words 'arrgh it works' in another language, and repeated them too. P's eyes lit up. "Rookie!! Rooks, check this out!" He said, grinning madly. "It translates what I say into old languages!" P touched the screen again over another language he never heard of, and the module repeated what he had just said in that language. Even Rookie was surprised at this, and he left his comfy pilots chair to see.

"This is great P, I've just had the best idea!! Let me see those languages." Rookie read down the list, looking for at least one he recognised. Then his eyes came upon it. "Excellent," he said, "this is just what we need." He wrote a sentence down on a bit of paper. It said: 'This is Rookie and Meister P. We have proof that can end this war, but we need time to do it. We're heading for F'tral to see Mon Mothma, and maybe the proof we have can persuade her to call off the war. We need you to keep Jodo and Flamey distracted, don't let them know where we are, or else they'll try and catch us. Keep things as normal as possible, but let the involved people know. Keep us informed.' Rookie gave the paper to P. "Read this into the module, and translate it into Old Aruzean language."

P was confused. "But Rookie, you don't speak that language, nobody does, it’s a dead language."

Rookie wore a satisfied smile on his face. "But I know someone who does speak this language. OD. He's one of the few people who know it. If we can get this transmission through to the Diablo, OD can keep us in touch with what's going on." P read the sentence and took the words translated on the screen, then copied them to a transmission to send to OD on the Diablo. OD received the transmission only a few minutes later. With a smile on his face he ran off to tell Fjap. Fjap wasn't in his quarters, so OD headed towards the cantina. He arrived just as Fjap stood on top of the bar table, wearing a giant black overcoat. "Fjap!" OD shouted. "Fjap, what are you doing?!" Fjap's face was getting redder every second.

"I swear," muttered Fjap, "I'll get you for this Flamey, Bob, whatever you are called. I'll get you for this..."

The Commodore took the bottle and P stood up from his seat and sat down on the floor.

" Ok, Sir as you wish, here is the story of my life..." he closed his eyes and went on:

" I have been raised and educated by my father, but as you know, he told me that I was an orphan. I don’t know why he had done this, but I think it had something to do with the education he gave me. I don’t know if everything would be the same now if he had told me who he is. But let’s get back to Tralus Seven. It’s the place of my youth, and there I spent the most time of my 'apprenticeship'. Shawn taught me the ways of the Jedi since I was able to throw around my toys without using them. He trained me in the forest around the shack. But I don’t want to bore you with the description of my learning efforts. It was a starship-crash two weeks after my 16th birthday that changed my life. Do you remember Binky? He was something like a deck-cleaner on the crashed ship, and he survived it because he was cleaning the escape pods when the ship crashed. He was a year older than I was. During the week we waited for the rescue party he told me of the other systems and stars and races. I already heard that from Shawn before, but this time it was different. Well, it ended with a decision I had to make, and as you see, I chose to leave with Binky. We left Tralus with the rescue ship that took us to a little trade station some light-years away. We luckily got aboard a trading ship that was heading towards the outer rim and during the journey we had the opportunity to show our gunnery skills. This action got us aboard some other trading ships, and so we spent over a year defending freighters. We have flown almost every ship, depending on the company paying the wages. From old stained RJ-41s to a 'borrowed' imperial missile boat. But it was during a week on the ship of a scrap metal dealer heading to a Junk-Station, when we found some old hoverbikes.

We repaired them with old parts of other vehicles, I even had a small shield generator in mine, like in the bike I have now. The captain was impressed, and he paid the starting fee in a race at the Junk-Station. The practice in the space-fighters paid off, and Binky and me made first and second. A new era was beginning for us, we took part in a racing league and finished always in the first positions. And then there was Treyon-Station, Binky had an eye on the daughter of the station owner. I really don’t know what attracted him... but it somehow impressed Eryn, when Binky was after her, even after she kicked him right in the fork during a bar fight. They somehow got the idea of running away, and during this race Binky created an accident to give them some time to get away.

Well he did not tell his plan, and so I was so nervous during the next race that I crashed right in the VIP-Lounge that indirectly killed the big boss of the sector’s underworld. I managed to escape...well the man behind the boss, allowed me to leave, because it was me who...removed? ...the boss out of the way. I left, and during a fight I met Apocalypse who told me of the TFA...

Ok this was the story as short as possible...SIR? AMBER!! ROOKIE WAKE UP! DAMN AMBER!" P tried to awake Rookie, and the shuttle continued its journey through hyperspace.
